This continuation of the Women’s Murder Club series is typical Patterson formula. Short, quick-paced chapters and some twists and turns. After reading so many of his books, I could see the ending coming. This story focuses more on Lindsay Boxer and Yuki Castellano, with Cindy and Claire appearing minimally. The drama in this title focuses on dirty cops who think they are above the law and the seedy side of San Francisco. As has become typical of Patterson, the reader is left with a thread dangling at the end, sure to be woven into novel 15 or 16 of the series. If you are a Patterson fan and have read the previous novels, I would recommend it.
