Judy Moody by Megan McDonald

Judy Moody was in a Mood

Judy Moody was in a Mood is a story about an eight year old girl starting third grade, and she’s not happy about it. The first assignment that she receives is to make a “me collage”. Over the course of the story, Judy makes a new friend (Frank Pearl), gets invited to a birthday party where she’s the only girl, buys a venus flytrap, starts the toad pee club, and plays a trick on her brother, Stink. In the end, Stink spills juice on Judy’s collage. Judy then turns the stain into Virginia for WHERE I LIVE. It’s a great story, but I think Megan McDonald should have made Judy less moody so then even younger readers can enjoy this book. I highly recommend this book for people ages 8-12.
