I always enjoy the “Women’s Murder Club” series and I especially like Maxine Paetro as a co-author. The plot involved some vigilante justice, with supposed police officers committing robberies and stealing from drug lords. Along the same lines, with a story that seemed to come right out the headlines, a police coerced confession that lead to a jailhouse murder. The ending was slightly abrupt, leaving me thinking “wait you can’t leave it like that”. But I guess that’s the point of a good book, leave you wanting more. It was well thought out plot and an enjoyable read.
