Seedfolks by Paul Fleishman

SeedfolksSeedfolks is a wonderful story about the efforts of a community of individuals, which turn a trashy empty city block into a block of gardens. All of this starts with the actions of a young girl who wishes to connect to the father who died before she was born.

The book is told from the perspective of the various individuals involved and shows how the individuals grow into a community as the block blossoms into a cluster of gardens. The audio recording of Seedfolks enhances the book as it is read by various voices each well matched to the individual speaking.
