You Have a Brain by Ben Carson, MD

You have a Brain

If you like Ben Carson, any of his books or even his movie, this is a simple to read book (aimed towards teenagers) about how to think smart and use your brain. His mother always used to tell him that “he had a brain and he should use it” and not let emotions or others determine his actions. The book tells the story of how he went from being the dumbest student in his class to becoming a brain surgeon at John’s Hopkins. Reading was a huge key to his success and he outlines 8 steps on how to use your brain and “THINK BIG”. I will have my kids read this book when they become teenagers.
