I started For Whom The Bell Tolls by Hemingway earlier this summer and couldn’t get into it, but because I have never read Hemingway but wanted to I decided to start small with this shorter book. It moved well and had a simple premise: an old fisherman who has recently been unlucky catching fish comes upon a huge one and must figure out how to reel it in and bring it home. It was a very easy read, yet gave me a taste of Hemingway’s style, which I enjoyed.
