The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway

The Old Man and the SeaI started For Whom The Bell Tolls by Hemingway earlier this summer and couldn’t get into it, but because I have never read Hemingway but wanted to I decided to start small with this shorter book. It moved well and had a simple premise: an old fisherman who has recently been unlucky catching fish comes upon a huge one and must figure out how to reel it in and bring it home. It was a very easy read, yet gave me a taste of Hemingway’s style, which I enjoyed.
