I love John Grisham and was excited to find this on the Xpress Checkout in Charlotte Hall. However, I was a little disappointed. The story was slow to get started and didn’t really get my interest until almost halfway through the book. Then it moved pretty quickly. The story line is very intriguing, a crooked judge in cahoots with a mafia like presence in Florida, a casino on an Indian Reservation, a wrongly imprisoned man and someone trying blow the whistle on the whole thing. A complaint is filed with the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct and that starts a very dangerous ball rolling. It was a very believable story-line just slow to take hold. That’s why my rating is only Recommend.
